Quality Supervisor

Job Overview

We are a metal finishing business seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Supervisor to oversee our quality assurance and control processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems and the ability to lead a team in implementing effective quality practices. The ideal candidate should also be familiar with metal finishing processes (anodizing, zinc plating, etc.), including titration methodologies and tank chemical analysis.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in alignment with AS9100/ISO9001 and NADCAP standards.

Lead and manage the implementation and maintenance of NADCAP certification requirements.

Manage all chemical sampling and coupon testing schedules.

Manage and monitor all tank chemical concentrations, including analysis, chemical additions, and testing.

Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Oversee the quality control processes, ensuring that all products meet specified quality standards before reaching the market.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in product quality and operational efficiency.

Manage documentation related to quality systems, including procedures, work instructions, and records.

Provide training and support to staff on quality assurance practices and compliance requirements.

Lead investigations into product defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Oversee and regularly direct the work of employees.

Skills

5 years of experience in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles and practices.

Proficiency in quality management systems and methodologies, including AS9100/ISO9001 and NADCAP Chemical Processing and Testing.

Experience conducting quality audits and assessments.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
