Role: Senior React Engineer (Contract – 3 Months)

Location: US only ~ Metro Atlanta preferred ~ Hybrid ~ No Sponsorship ~

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 12 weeks (Fulltime)

We continue to expand our GovTech SaaS suite and are looking for a React Expert to lead frontend development. You will work closely with internal PMs and engineers to build the first version. You must deliver high-quality, well-architected, production-ready code with unit test coverage.

Key Responsibilities

● Architect and build the frontend from the ground up using React (latest standards)

● Set up scalable and maintainable code structure

● Implement reusable components and patterns

● Establish best practices for styling (CSS), testing, routing and state management

● Write robust unit and integration tests

● Ensure accessibility (WCAG), performance, and responsiveness

● Document decisions, structure, and usage patterns

● Conduct weekly code reviews and knowledge transfer

Requirements:

● 5+ years' experience building SPAs with React

● Strong in React 18+, Hooks, Context API, functional components

● Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and modularization

● Experience with frontend testing, CI/CD integration, and linting tools

● Familiarity with Typescript, Tailwind, Vite, Redux (bonus) and consuming Backend APIs

● Proven ability to deliver high-quality code independently under time constraints

● Bonus: Experience in GovTech, SaaS platforms, Familiarity with Microsoft Azure

Deliverables:

● Weekly demos to internal team

● Weekly deployments (at least) to non-production site

● Complete, production-ready frontend codebase

● Substantial test coverage and documented test strategy

● Developer documentation and architecture summary

● Final walkthrough and handoff to internal team
