The Taft Museum of Art (TMA) provides meaningful experiences by connecting people with great art, both in a historic setting and in the community. Through its intimate presentation of Anna Sinton and Charles Phelps Taft's treasures and its engaging exhibitions, programs, and activities, the Museum creates enjoyment and learning opportunities for all. The TMA provides free school visits that include artmaking activities to reinforce gallery learning. Additionally, eligible preschools can participate in Early Expressions. Early Expressions is a multipart arts integration program designed to help young learners (age 4) identify and express their feelings through creative expression and unique experiences with original works of art in a museum setting and the classroom.
Centered around core Social and Emotional Learning curricula, this program uses arts engagement to help students recognize emotions and provides them with tools and strategies, in the form of art making, to express their own emotions in a constructive and meaningful way.
