Supervisor, Shift

PURPOSE: The Shift Supervisor oversees all shift activities for the Zones areas of the refinery as well as supporting the ICS Incident Command System.

This position provides guidance, execution strategy and provides direct supervision to the shift organization in the execution of said strategy.

This position reports to the Operations department.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervise all shift activities for the truck and rail terminals, waste water plants, Renewable feedstock pre-treatment, tank farm and PMA milling areas of the refinery.

* Lead shift change safety meeting.

* Coordinates personnel call-outs as required for sick relief and other departments.

* Provides or supports initial ICS leadership until relieved.

* Supervise response to all environmental exceedances/spills/releases ensuring all required reports/notifications are completed.

* Direct the facility in executing operating strategy.

* Direct the facility in executing night orders.

* Supervise/audit operator rounds.

* Monitor facility for performance deviations.

* Supervise written housekeeping standards/assignments.

* Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance management.

* Ensure all paper & electronic unit and equipment logs and critical level checks are being performed.

* Manage work order approval process.

* Ensure alignment with Superintendent on all strategy and personnel issues.

* Manage all external inquiries not handled by security.

* Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: * Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum 4 years operations and/or engineering experience in a refinery or terminal environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: * Prefer both field and console experience in operations or prior experience as Shift Supervisor.
