VetsEZ is seeking a highly motivated AI Product Engineer to drive the development and integration of advanced AI capabilities into customer-facing products and platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of machine learning, product innovation, and full-stack engineering. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape intelligent solutions that solve meaningful problems at scale.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and build AI-powered features for software products.

Develop and integrate ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Implement scalable data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment.

Apply MLOps practices to automate, monitor, and optimize AI workflows in production environments.

Participate in product planning to ensure AI initiatives align with user needs and business goals.

Stay up to date with developments in AI/ML, generative AI, and large language models (LLMs).

Contribute to responsible AI practices by promoting fairness, interpretability, and data ethics.

Create well-documented APIs and SDKs to connect AI functionality with frontend and backend systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

1+ years of experience in AI/ML development or product-focused software engineering.

Proficient in Python and AI/ML libraries such as scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

Experience with cloud platforms and tools such as AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML.

Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.

Ability to work independently in an agile, remote-first environment.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with LLM integration (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) and prompt engineering.

Exposure to MLOps tools such as MLflow, DVC, or Kubeflow.

Prior experience in government, health IT, or VA projects.

Knowledge of privacy, bias mitigation, and ethical considerations in AI development.
