Must-Have Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Personal Lines Underwriting, specifically for homeowners and rental properties

Proven experience in reviewing and analyzing inspection reports

Strong communication skills, with experience interacting with agents

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Myriad Systems

Experience with Guidewire

Job Overview:

We are seeking a front-facing Personal Lines Underwriter to evaluate and manage risks associated with personal insurance policies, ensuring accurate and fair premium rates. This role includes reviewing inspection reports from third-party vendors to determine underwriting eligibility and potential reimbursement amounts. The underwriter will provide feedback to clients, confirm home coverage, identify hazards such as broken windows and foundation issues, and handle a high volume of inspections, aiming to review 30 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and assess inspection reports to determine underwriting eligibility

Communicate findings to clients and provide feedback on inspections

Confirm home coverage and identify potential hazards

Support clients via phone calls and chats

Address live requests from agents and assist them in selling business to their clients

Respond to inquiries regarding homeowners, auto, and boat policies

Manage phone calls based on the longest wait time and handle chats on a first-come, first-served basis
