LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fuel Accounting Analyst with Advanced expertise in Excel to join our clients company based in Tempe (Zip Code: 85284 ) AZ. As a Fuel Accountant, you will be responsible for various financial tasks, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, Maintaining accounting records and fixing errors as they arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and advanced excel skills as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs are a must!

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field and/or 1 to 3 years of Accounting experience, preferably in a Accounts Receivable or general Accounting position. Combination of education and experience indicating the candidate is qualified to perform the essential functions of the position will be considered. Candidate must have well-developed communication and organizational skills, show a high degree of job responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The position is multi-task and multi-system oriented and the candidate must be flexible and be adaptable in an ever-changing environment.

Software: PDI, Excel to include advanced tools, MS Access, Power BI and other desktop applications a plus.

Major Duties

Monitors the performance of the fuel system by ensuring feeds and processes are running as scheduled and performing as expected related to areas of responsibility.

Updates and maintains data integrity within fuel systems.

Reviews daily control reports to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions. Identifies, researches and resolves all processing errors related to areas of responsibility within stated departmental procedures and standards.

Interfaces with multiple internal departments as well as Field Personnel to resolve fuel sales, fuel deliveries and fuel inventory matters timely and accurately.

Processes fuel transactions and error corrections. Identifies, researches and resolves fuel discrepancies related to areas of responsibility on a daily basis.

May be requested to prepare reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing and summarizing information.

Participates in policy and procedures development.

Provides training, coverage, and assistance to Fuel Accounting staff.

Invoice reconciliation, responsible for fuel AP reconciliation, research invoice discrepancies, contact vendors, internal departments, reconcile draft payments

Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Compensation is determined based on degree and relevant prior experience in fuel.
