Lead Manual Lathe and Mill Machinist

Are you a skilled machinist with a passion for precision? Do you have experience operating manual mills and lathes and the leadership ability to guide a team to success? Join a dynamic team dedicated to repairing and providing remanufactured, aftermarket, and OEM hydraulic units and components for a wide range of industrial applications, including paper mills, sawmills, steel mills, recycling plants, oil & gas, and mobile equipment such as construction, utility, mining, agricultural, and marine equipment.

Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour DOE

Schedule: Swing shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Location: Tacoma, WA.

This is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Operate and troubleshoot manual mills and lathes to produce quality parts with tight tolerances.

Lead a team of 5-10 machinists and welders, providing guidance and support.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area.

Machine various materials, including steel, aluminum bronze, and cast iron.

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

5+ years of machining experience (preferred).

Strong mechanical aptitude and machining abilities.

Knowledge of cylinder construction techniques.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.

Leadership experience managing 5-10 employees.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt.
