Role Overview

As a Structured Cabling Project Manager, you will lead commercial voice/data infrastructure projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to BICSI and industry standards. Youâ ll coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and general contractors while managing all aspects of installation, reporting, materials, and field crew supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Oversight

Lead structured cabling projects from contract handoff to completion

Maintain project scope, schedule, and cost control

Conduct site visits, resolve field issues, and ensure quality assurance

Scheduling & Coordination

Develop and manage project schedules

Direct daily field operations, assign technicians, and track progress

Facilitate coordination between vendors, suppliers, and internal teams

Team Leadership

Supervise crews including Leads, Technicians, and Helpers

Mentor field staff and enforce safety and installation standards

Provide technical guidance and project direction as needed

Budgeting & Documentation

Manage job costing, submit and track change orders

Approve labor hours, material usage, and supplier invoices

Ensure accurate as-builts, test results, and project documentation

Client & Vendor Relations

Serve as the primary client contact for project status and updates

Coordinate material procurement and delivery timelines

Support post-installation services and client satisfaction follow-up

What Weâ re Looking For

Required Experience

3+ years of project management experience in structured cabling or low-voltage

Proven ability to manage commercial projects from $100K to $2M

Familiarity with construction practices and environments in Texas

Proficiency in TIA/EIA standards, BICSI protocols, and NEC regulations

Preferred Qualifications

BICSI Certification (RCDD or Technician) highly desirable

Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and project tracking tools

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform site surveys

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills

Other Requirements

Valid driverâ s license and clean driving record

Ability to travel locally to job sites in the San Antonio area

Must pass background check and drug screen
