Job Description
Summary
This unlicensed therapist position provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic intake assessments to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The BHC I participates in weekly clinical supervision with their direct supervisor.
Essential Functions
Provides individual and group therapy.
Provides crisis assessment and intervention for clients.
Completes timely clinical documentation and participates in monthly peer chart reviews.
Provides behavioral health trainings to staff at FJV working in different departments.
· May provide behavioral health support to weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and staff members.
Frequently coordinates care with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, dentists, case managers, AOD counselors.
On time completion of assigned training and policies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bi-lingual Spanish highly preferred
Master's Degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of counseling experience with clients experiencing homelessness, low income, or at-risk populations.
Licensed preferred or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).
Basic user of MS Office and electronic health record systems.
CPR certified (can be obtained after hire)
· Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
