Technical Documentation Internship

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana (On-Site)

Position Type: Part-Time, Unpaid Internship

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Technical Documentation Intern to assist with internal audits of licensing, software, and hardware documentation. This part-time role is ideal for a current student seeking to gain valuable, real-world experience in the IT and cybersecurity industries. No professional experience is required, but a strong understanding of technical terminology and keen attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities:

Review and audit technical documentation related to software licenses, hardware inventories, and service agreements.

Identify inconsistencies or missing information and assist with data correction or reconciliation efforts.

Organize, catalog, and update records across multiple platforms and systems.

Collaborate with technical and administrative teams to gather additional information as needed.

Assist in developing templates and improving documentation workflows for future audits.

Qualifications:

Strong technical acumen and familiarity with common IT and cybersecurity terminology.

Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with ticketing or documentation systems is a plus.

Current student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Technology, or a related field.
