VMG is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Systems (BAS) Programmer to join our growing Controls Division. In this role, you will program and configure control systems for commercial HVAC and building systems, with a focus on delivering high-performing, energy-efficient BAS solutions. This position is ideal for someone who is certified in Niagara and experienced in Edge controllers, looking to take on technically challenging projects in a fast-paced, supportive environment.Key Responsibilities

Program, configure, and commission BAS and HVAC control systems using Niagara (AX and/or N4), Schneider, Johnson Controls, Tridium, Honeywell, or Siemens platforms.

Develop and deploy control logic, graphics, alarms, and schedules according to project specifications and sequence of operations.

Integrate Edge controllers and configure them within Niagara-based systems.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, field technicians, and commissioning agents to ensure seamless execution of controls solutions.

Conduct point-to-point checks, system tuning, and functional testing.

Provide technical support for commissioning and post-installation troubleshooting.

Adjust control strategies in the field to match real-world operating conditions.

Ensure system compliance with safety protocols, project standards, and building codes.

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of control logic, graphics, and configurations.

Train clients on system operation during project closeout.Qualifications

At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with the Niagara platform and Edge controllers.

Niagara certification in AX and/or N4 (N4 preferred).

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the Building Automation field.

Strong understanding of mechanical and HVAC systems, including sequences of operation.

Proficiency with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.

Ability to read and interpret control drawings, submittals, and schematics.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.

[Preferred] Additional platform certifications (e.g., Schneider EcoStruxure, Honeywell WEBs).Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $85,000 - $95,000/year, depending on experience and qualifications.
