As a Project Surveyor at Atwell, you'll be at the heart of our dynamic survey team, driving the success of a diverse range of projects from residential and commercial land development to cutting-edge renewable energy initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll harness the power of collaboration, leveraging a supportive team of office and field staff while enjoying the autonomy to lead projects from inception to completion in an entrepreneurial setting. Your expertise will be nurtured as you prepare for advanced roles within our organization, and our varied project scopes will provide opportunities for you to expand your skills and market reach.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with Project Managers to contribute your insights during proposal and project planning phases. Help define project scopes, budgets, staffing, and schedules, ensuring optimal project outcomes.

Manage & Execute: Work alongside Project Managers to keep projects on track, ensuring adherence to scope and budget while meeting deadlines.

Utilize Cutting-Edge Tools: Employ AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software daily to deliver high-quality results in line with prescribed standards and budgets.

Review & Refine: Analyze survey field calculations and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Communicate & Coordinate: Maintain effective communication with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders to foster a cohesive and dynamic team environment.

Grow & Develop: Take advantage of paid training, development events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities to advance your career and stay at the forefront of industry trends.

Qualifications:

Expert Knowledge: Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collection, Legal Descriptions, and Plan Interpretations, as well as Real Estate Documents.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center is highly preferred.

Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.

Field Experience: Prior experience working in the field on a survey crew is highly desirable.

Certifications: Licensed Surveyor

Locations: Must reside in Michigan, with preference for candidates near our offices in Southfield, Ann Arbor, Shelby Township, and Cadillac.
