Technician I (Temporary, Part-Time)
Audio Visual
Reporting to the Manager, the Technician I provides technical support to the museum and the Audio Visual department.
Responsibilities:
Operates data/video projections system, DCP, video files, 16/35/70mm, DVD, or Bluray Designs, engineers, and operates sound reinforcement for music programs, performance art, and PA presentation systems
Designs and operates complex lighting and stage systems for theatrical or music presentations
Designs complex audio and visual presentations for many various events
Creates, operates, and troubleshoots PowerPoint and other data presentations for all museum departments and events
Organizes and creates video productions for support of PPT presentations, web media, communications, marketing, development and promotional media
Researches and advises on improved and updated audiovisual practices and hardware
Coordinates with all museum departments, administration, development, special events, councils, education, communication, curators, and outside guest speakers in order to organize, set up, and display a complete professional presentation
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Benefits:
The expected hourly pay for this Los Angeles, CA based position is $24.50. Subject to change.

Qualifications:
Degree in Film, Audio Visual, or related field
At least 2 years of experience and/or training in concerts, theater, film, video, including lighting design and stage management
