What You'll Be Doing

The Electronic Trader will focus on the real-time, daily coverage and support of algorithmic trading clients and their orders. Primary responsibilities will include monitoring the trading system in real-time for performance and platform integrity, assisting clients with their selection and usage of algorithms, reviewing and assessing performance of execution algorithms, and developing relationships with internal and external traders.

What We're Looking For

Develop a strong knowledge of equity trading algorithms and systems.

Provide first line support to all algorithmic trading including during extended hours trading.

Communicate performance outliers, product changes, and potential algo issues with internal and external clients on a daily basis.

Perform ongoing execution analysis and apply that in a client service capacity to assist clients with optimal use of algorithms.

What You'll Bring

Knowledge of equity markets and trade processing.

Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Ability to follow a technical, "data driven" approach as part of day-to-day duties.

Ability to network and quickly develop working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Ability to understand technical concepts and quickly gain proficiency.

Strong teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience

Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Minimum Required: 0-3 years of trading or supporting US equity trading desk.

Licenses & Credentials

Minimum required: FINRA Series 7.

Systems & Technology

Proficient with Fidessa Order Management System.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $151,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
