Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Sign Language Interpretation

Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and staff

Proficient in ASL and knowledgeable about educational interpreting practices

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, facilitating access to the curriculum

Collaborate with teaching staff to support students academic and social needs

Stay current with best practices in educational interpreting and participate in relevant professional development
