Job Summary
We are looking for a professional Local Class A CDL Driver to operate commercial vehicles, delivering goods to customers within a designated local region. This role involves daily home time, safe driving practices, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Class A commercial vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or box trucks) to transport goods within a local area.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring proper handling and delivery.
Follow assigned routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly to management.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing customer inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Minimum of [3 years] of commercial driving experience preferred.
Current DOT medical card.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance requirements.
Ability to lift up to [50-75 lbs] and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with GPS systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
