Fund Accountant

FUND ACCOUNTANT – Charlottesville, Va.

We’re hiring an experienced fund accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting and operations of investment portfolios.

Reporting to the Controller, you’ll handle monthly closes, reconciliations, and data flow across systems—all with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.

High-visibility role – your work will get noticed and make a real impact . What You’ll Do: Lead monthly/quarterly closes for investment portfolios Reconcile transactions, valuations, and capital statements Review custodian reports and prepare internal NAV packages Ensure data accuracy across accounting and performance systems Support audits and tax prep with detailed schedules and documentation What You Bring: 2+ years of fund accounting experience (public or industry) Strong understanding of investment portfolio accounting Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track a plus) Detail-driven with strong reconciliation skills Comfortable with accounting systems and Excel Team-first attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed If you are interested in this or future opportunities in your area, please send a Word-Formatted resume to us and we will contact you when opportunities arise that match your geography and experience.
