Job Description
A machine shop and metal fabrication company in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a Line Equipment Operator for a 1st shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate weights and measures
Maintains accurate compliance with packaging instructions and criteria
Responsible for operational settings and adjustment of assigned equipment for compliance with packaging instructions and criteria
Assists the Crew Leader or Supervisor in the completion of daily production reports
Maintains equipment and immediate area of work station in a neat and orderly condition
Will be trained for competent operation in a minimum of five (5) work stations
Responsible for operations settings and adjustments of assigned equipment for compliance with quality and productions standards
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, understand and comply with Bills of Material, processing/work instructions and packaging instructions
Must not be color blind
Must be able to lift up 50 - 75 lbs. (repetitively)
Must be able to do cycle counts of materials, - i.e. Labels, boxes and cartons, etc
Must be able to report production output and activities
Must be able to present production information to management
Safely and effectively operate all equipment necessary to perform assigned duties
Ability to read and write
Must be able to use a tape measure
Must be able to work in hot environments
