GaN Corporation is now accepting resumes for a Senior Program Manager with expertise in program and portfolio management and experience in business development. We are looking for exceptionally talented people that excel in collaborative environments and can work directly with Government civil servants, other contractors, vendors, and academia. You will have an opportunity to leverage and expand on your capabilities with the need to use a wide range of programmatic knowledge and expertise to fully execute the role. This position requires initiative and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision on all assignments. Our Sr. PM should be able to work flexibly both independently and on a team where the need for extensive communication is crucial. The position is a non-supervisory position, leveraging personnel within the Engineering group that are matrix to projects for execution. The Sr. PM will lead and/or advice on several projects/program with the potential to quickly work into the role of the Director of Program Management Excellence (PMX) for the company. The Director of PMX is a supervisory position leading the Project Leads (PL) and other PMs to ensure exceptional project/program management across the company.

Responsibilities:

Collecting, documenting, analyzing, and managing customer requirements

Coordinating with GaN engineers to develop solutions to customer challenges

Managing subcontractors, vendors, project performance, funding, schedule, and risk

Coordination of the systems engineering process through the life-cycle of the system development from requirements decomposition through verification and validation

Developing contract deliverable requirements to include formal CDRLs and informal deliverable items

Leading programs of related projects

Leading business development capture and proposal efforts

Potential for future growth into the Director of PMX with the additional responsibilities of:

-Supervise the PLs and PMs across GaN

-Provide guidance and direction for PLs/PMs to ensure all projects are being exceptionally executed

-Own all project management processes for GaN which includes continuous improvement of processes and tools

Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree from an accredited university and 12+ years of related experience

Program Management Professional (PMP) certified

Experience with managing a portfolio of strategic projects, focusing on coordination, dependencies, and the overallimpact of the program to broader business objectives

Expertise with managing project performance, funding, schedule, and risk

Experience in managing programs and/or portfolios

Experience in business development leading capture and project efforts

Exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and verbal communication skills

Dedicated to customer service, quality, and team building

An understanding of Systems/Software Engineering, agile processes, DoD, and Test and Evaluation (T&E)

Up to 25% travel

Desired Skills:

An understanding of RF technologies, AI/ML, solution prototyping, and system production

A passion for mentoring younger Project Leads and PMs

Experience with leading and training project management personnel

An understanding of CMMI and CMMC and how they impact project/program management

Special Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation

Must have a Secret clearance or be capable of obtaining an interim Secret clearance
