Position: Nursing Director of Occ. Health NP or RN

Location: Boston, MA

Status: Full-time

Clinic Type: Employee Health

Duties:

Providing clinical and operational oversight

Providing leadership for a team of NP’s, RN’s and Administrative Support staff

Collaborating with Medical Director, Risk Management, HR, EHS, and Infectious Disease

Manage and create department budget

Recruiting and selecting clinicians; overseeing the orientation and training of clinical staff, engaging with staff to provide feedback and coaching in a positive and proactive manner

Provides direction on occupational health matters including the interpretation of regulations and standards, potential organizational exposure and liability, surveillance requirements, fitness for duty cases, job accommodations, and injury and exposure prevention

Monitors outcomes related to workers compensation

Develops, standardizes, updates and manages relevant OH operating procedures, policies and programs

Requirements:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing or related clinical license

Strongly prefer at least 5+ years of direct clinical experience, preferably in Occupational Health nursing

5+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience; which includes experience managing clinical staff

Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S) and/or Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts (preferred)

Knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, CDC and MDPH standards and guidelines for healthcare settings

Ability to prepare and complete regulatory agency survey/audits

Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization

Strong problem solving and negotiation skills

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, synthesizing and presenting regular reports and measures of progress
