Berkel & Company is seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. As part of the engineering group at Berkel you will get the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects nationwide. With Berkel being a design build contractor, you will get the satisfaction of seeing your designs built. In this position you will join a team of experienced engineers with decades in the industry.

Job Responsibilities:

· Develop preliminary designs to assist in bidding efforts.

· Perform advanced analysis utilizing leading edge software and methods.

· Develop calculation briefs.

· Oversee and assist in production of shop drawings.

· Prepare inspection and testing plans.

· Provide engineering support during the construction phase.

Requirements:

· BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred).

· 3 years of progressive experience in Geotechnical and/or Structural Engineering.

· Ability to interpret construction plans.

· PE or ability to obtain in 12 months.

AutoCAD, Plaxis, DeepEx, Ram Element, L-Pile, Group, Slope W, Settle 3d, Mathcad, Safe
