Tolerance Masters Inc is a precision machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN. We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machined parts and sub-assemblies. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Mill Machinist to join our team on the second shift. This role focuses on operating and setting up CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will be skilled in close-tolerance machining, have a strong attention to detail, and be committed to maintaining a collaborative and efficient work environment

Monday-Thursday: 4:00PM - 2:30AM
Fridays-Opportunity for overtime
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and set up CNC mills for production, including selecting and installing tools, setting work offsets, and verifying program accuracy
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure proper machine configuration
Perform first article inspections to verify setup accuracy and make necessary adjustments
Operate CNC milling machines to produce parts that meet or exceed quality and dimensional specifications
Monitor machining processes and make real-time adjustments to maintain optimal performance
Troubleshoot issues with equipment or programs and implement corrective actions
Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts during and after production
Collaborate with quality control to resolve any discrepancies and implement improvements
Work closely with programmers, engineers, and other machinists to optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency
Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced machinists as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as a CNC Mill Machinist, including advanced setup skills
Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools for part inspection
Familiarity with CNC programming basics (G-code knowledge is a plus)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPRIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in machining preferred
Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
Standing for extended periods during the shift
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment; moderate to high levels of dirt, noise, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, fumes, chemicals/solvents, and electrical hazards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc. is to be worn as applicable throughout the entire shift
