Microsoft Power BI Developer needs 10 years of experience

Microsoft Power BI Developer requires:

• 5+ years' experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.

• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., IBM Cognos, Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.

• Reinsurance industry knowledge is preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of Azure cloud services and data warehousing concepts.

• Excellent knowledge of Databricks and dbt.

• Certification in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies.

• Business Intelligence: Power BI, Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services(SSAS), Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Lake Store (ADLS), Power Apps, SSRS, DAX, Power Query(M Language)

• Database Technologies: Azure SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, MongoDB

Microsoft Power BI Developer duties:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.

• Use Databricks and dbt to create gold reporting objects to be used by PowerBI dashboards.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.

• Create data models and perform data transformations using Power Query and DAX.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation and quality checks.

• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.
