Job Summary:

Our pharmaceutical client in Holly Springs, NC is seeking experienced DeltaV Automation Engineers to support the design, implementation, commissioning, and validation of DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) used in GMP manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated industries, strong technical acumen in Emerson DeltaV systems, and a hands-on approach to automation challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Emerson DeltaV platform.

• Author and modify automation specifications (URS, FRS, DDS).

• Configure and troubleshoot DeltaV modules, phases, and batch strategies.

• Support IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and CSV (Computer System Validation) activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, QA, and manufacturing.

• Provide day-to-day operational support for DeltaV systems in GMP environments.

• Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, GAMP 5, and data integrity standards.

• Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning/startup efforts for automation systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting.

• Strong knowledge of ISA-88 / S88 Batch Processing principles.

• Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP, and other regulatory requirements.

• Experience with commissioning and validation of automation systems in GMP environments.

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DeltaV Version 13 or higher.

• Exposure to MES or SCADA systems is a plus.

• Prior experience working on greenfield or expansion projects
