Patient Access Specialist

Job Description

Rate: $20/HR

Contract to hire

Location: Overland Park, KS

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry, including creating accounts and cases.

Provide customer service support during overflow periods, assisting other teams as needed.

Update account information based on input from Medical Billers and other requirements.

Qualifications:

Strong, precise data entry skills with a high attention to detail.

Previous experience in Specialty Pharmacy or Customer Service is preferred.

Proficient in professional computer use, including Microsoft Office, email, web-based applications, and typing/keyboarding skills.

Experience handling high-pressure, time-sensitive situations (via phone or in person) requiring problem-solving, sound judgment, and excellent customer service skills. This experience may come from various work environments or education beyond high school, not limited to traditional customer service roles.

Ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Dependable with a strong work ethic and openness to feedback and coaching.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with database systems, preferably Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce.

Background in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries.

Understanding of the challenges patients face related to their medical conditions.

Shift Availability:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PMCompany Description
