Job Description
Function:
Set-up and operate vertical mill CNC machine. Must be capable of utilizing common measurement devices to check part compliance to specifications and read blue prints.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to read drawings, including GD&T
Must be able to read micrometers, calipers, and other inspection devices
Must be able to check parts for accuracy and quality against supplied drawings
Setup experience preferred (not required)
Provides input to programmer on better ways to produce parts
Responsible for the production of 3 machines
Responsible for daily housekeeping of the work area including chip removal and machine internal cleanouts
Assist with machine preventative maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
Safety and quality conscious.
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use electronic measuring devices
Mechanically inclined (A person who likes to use tools, read directions, can take things apart and put them back together, and one who is interested in and patient with how things work.)
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
Exposure to Gibbscam or Solidcam is a plus (not required)
· Previous manufacturing experience.
· Ability to make decisions.
· Strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
· Ability to stand for more than 4 hours at a time
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs
