Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Portland, OR (local candidates only, no relocation)

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Experience Needed: 10+ years in Application Development and/or DevOps

Job Description:

The client is seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer/Developer to support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives. This role requires a hybrid presence in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in application development, cloud platforms (particularly Azure), and DevOps methodologies. The engineer will be responsible for coding enhancements, migrating legacy applications to Azure, and implementing scalable CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize and migrate applications to Azure.

· Develop and enhance backend services using Java or .NET.

· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage containerized applications.

· Apply best practices in DevOps, cloud security, and infrastructure automation.

· Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-hosted services.

Must Haves:

· Local to Portland, OR and able to work onsite 3 days a week.

· Over 10 years of experience in application development and/or DevOps.

· Strong hands-on experience in Java or .NET development.

· Proven expertise in Azure application enhancements and migration.

· Deep experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
