Job Description

Summary: The primary focus of this position is to maintain the corporate network and server infrastructure by identifying business and system requirements; recommending/installing upgrades; and monitoring performance. The Systems Administrator is to provide support for our servers, network and data center infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Designing, capacity planning, tuning/testing, installation, administering/monitoring, and troubleshooting of the enterprise infrastructure to include but not limited to the following:

Enterprise Networking (Firewalls, Layer 2/3, Wireless, VPN, Unified Communications/Phones).

Server Management (On Premise and Cloud, Virtualization, Primarily Windows Environment,).

Storage (SANs, NASs, direct attached storage).

Manage the end-to-end testing and deployment lifecycle across a Windows server environment, including configuration and administration of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Terminal Services, and NPS.

Test and deploy new applications and systems including ERP, ECM, and other business applications.

License Management.

Act as a liaison between IT Suppliers and our organization.

Backup and Disaster Recovery Systems.

Network and System Security (Developing and maintaining IT Policies, Training and administration of IT Policies, Assist with investigation into Security events and remediation).

Physical Security (Access Management, Video Surveillance).

Network and System Monitoring.

Power Management (Generators, Battery Backups, PDU’s).

Escalation point for IT Support/Junior Admins.

Support and Mentor lower-level team members.

Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Maintain an excellent level of customer service, ensuring that all customer interaction is handled efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

Maintain outstanding verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate seamlessly with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and a minimum of four years’ experience in related field.

Relevant IT certifications in Microsoft and other products is a plus.

Relevant experience/proficiency with Cisco/Meraki, Dell/HP Servers, VMware/VCenter, AWS/GCP, VEEAM, Google Workspace.
