Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in injection mold maintenance and a minimum of five years of hands-on experience working with plastic polymers in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform injection mold dis-assemble/assembly and conduct general mold maintenance.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tooling problems on the production floor.

Identify and implement tooling improvements.

Repair and rebuild injection molds by arranging for welding, rework, machining, polishing, and finishing to required surface finishes.

Fit and assemble parts, testing completed molds for proper operation.

Verify conformance of repaired injection molds or related tooling to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments using various test equipment.

Maintain inventory of spare parts, ensuring they are at appropriate levels and well organized.

Operate a variety of machine tools, such as drill press and surface grinder, to achieve prescribed dimensions and surface finishes.Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in using tool room equipment such as grinders and mills.

Ability to work on molds and create parts with tight tolerances.

Capability to comprehend part and tool prints.

Self-motivation with good organizational skills and ability to work as a team player.

Ability to follow safety guidelines on the production floor.

Hands-on experience in Injection Molding for over 5 years.

Die maker or machinist certificate.

Continuous Improvement experience within a manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in an ISO 9001:2008 certified company.

Ability to recommend mold design changes.

Knowledge of problem-solving techniques to develop corrective actions for customer issues or initiate continuous improvement.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role involves physical demands such as walking, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, and hearing. Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The work environment may expose employees to high noise levels requiring hearing protection, as well as safety glasses and gloves.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
