An opportunity exists for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a dynamic K-12 educational environment in Beaver Dam, WI. This contract position is focused on facilitating effective munication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring their full participation in daily school activities.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., NIC, RID).
Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with a strong understanding of various munication needs.
Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students to create an inclusive learning environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to the needs of students and their families.

Responsibilities:
Provide interpretation services in ASL for classroom instruction and school activities.
Collaborate with educational staff to support the individual needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Facilitate munication between students and teachers, ensuring accessibility of the curriculum.

Maintain accurate records of interpreted sessions and adhere to relevant pliance standards.
