Full Stack Developer

BigBear.ai is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer with a proven track record in building and deploying scalable, secure, and responsive web applications using modern JavaScript technologies. This role requires expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js), containerization with Docker, RESTful API development, and front-end optimization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating across teams, and following DevOps best practices.

What you will do

Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using the MERN stack

Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support dynamic front-end experiences

Implement secure authentication/authorization protocols using JWT and OAuth

Optimize performance on both the client and server sides (React/Node.js)

Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker in production environments

Conduct unit, integration, and E2E tests using Jest, Mocha, Enzyme, and Cypress

Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retros)

Apply Git, ESLint, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and streamlined delivery

Integrate third-party APIs to enhance product features (e.g., payment gateways, social logins)

Maintain detailed technical documentation and participate in code reviews

What you should have

Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 5 years of experience

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end libraries/frameworks (React, Redux, Next.js)

Backend development using Node.js, Express.js, and experience with REST APIs

Database management experience with MongoDB, Mongoose, PostgreSQL, and Sequelize ORM

Experience with Docker, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD tools

Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Enzyme, and Cypress

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills

Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities

What we'd like you to have

Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred)

Familiarity with GraphQL and Webpack
