CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer

Job Description

Essential Duties:

Operate and maintain multiple Citizen Swiss CNC lathes

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings

Use measuring instruments to ensure tight tolerances are maintained

Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or malfunctions

Perform routine maintenance on machine to keep it in optimal condition

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

The ability to program, setup, and operate Swiss lathes in a production environment

Required Experience:

5+ years of experience preferred working at this level

Previous experience with Swiss style CNC lathes

Familiarity with Citizen Swiss machines

Ability to produce high-quality parts consistently

Manufacture to close tolerances

Knowledge of raw materials and speeds and feeds of machine tools for efficient operation

Knowledgeable of ISO 13485

Observant about changes in part characteristics

Observant about changes in machine sounds and operations

Ability to train new and current machine operators

Required Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use various hand tools and power tools

Knowledge of basic math and ability to perform calculations accurately

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in work

Run multiple machines

Recognize and correct malfunctions

Ability/flexibility to deal with varying changeover rate

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Analytical, adaptable, and personable with a team-oriented mindset

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking around facility

Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.Company Description
