Our client is a global manufacturing corporation that has been providing key components for vehicles for over 100 years. They have been growing rapidly in recent years and this is a newly-created opportunity in the facility to help with this kind of growth.

Main duties of the Controls Engineer include:

PLC and HMI programming

Leading automation projects from design to installation

Providing technical support on plant servers and networks

Installing new traceability packages such as Ignition, Rockwell NGT2 and PLEX

Lead plant expansion and capital equipment projects

Use AutoCAD to design machine control systems and plant layout to improve material flow

Writing capital expenditure requests, then ensure completion of project with the necessary equipment

Program Fanuc robotics systems

Qualifications include:

BS in an engineering field

Strong electrical controls experience

Experience with Rockwell Automation software and components (RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk Transaction Manager, Kinetix Drives, Ethernet and DeviceNET communication protocols

PLC/HMI/Robotics programming experience

Experience designing controls systems using CADCompany Description
