Position Overview:
We’re looking for a mission-driven, dynamic Executive Director to lead and grow CBC’s programs, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives. While the organization is powered by a dedicated team of volunteers, this is our one paid staff position—ideal for someone ready to wear many hats and make a lasting difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Event Management: Plan and oversee family-focused events that provide comfort and support to children in care.
Fundraising & Grants: Support fundraising campaigns, donor relations, and grant writing to sustain our mission.
Community Partnerships: Collaborate with hospital staff (social workers, nurses, etc.) and local partners to meet families' evolving needs.
CRM Management: Maintain donor and contact databases to ensure accurate records and consistent engagement.
Marketing & Outreach: Assist in developing newsletters, social media, and other materials to build awareness and support.
Volunteer Coordination: Work with our loyal volunteer network to align goals and maintain strong communication.
Flexibility: Occasional evening/weekend work is required for special events. This position offers the ability to work from home as well as in the office.

Company Description
Committee to Benefit the Children provides direct financial assistance with non-medical, essential expenses not covered by other agencies. CBC pays for rent/mortgage, utility and phone bills, car insurance and payments, meal vouchers, parking and transportation, prosthetics and wigs, child care, counseling and referral services, snacks and toys during treatment, other family living expenses, and funerals.
CBC works closely with the social workers in the Oncology and Hematology units at St. Christopher’s Hospital. The social workers know these children and their families and can identify specific areas of need on a case-by-case basis. Requests are reviewed and decisions are made almost immediately. All bills are paid directly to the company with no cash exchange.
