Furnace Operator

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Furnace Operator to work out of one of our offices in Waggaman, LA. Furnace Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the furnace and press equipment.

Essential Duties:

Operate furnace and press equipment in accordance with the work order.

Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets.

Maintain quality standards.

Keep work area clean and orderly.

Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment.

Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.

Days/Shift:

Monday thru Thursday 3pm-1:30am

Ideal Candidate:

Candidates must be able to measure quickly and accurately.

Have exceptional attention to detail.

Have basic computer knowledge.

Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for a 10 hour shift.

Have good working knowledge of figures and numbers.

Be able to work quickly and efficiently.

Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
