Mechanical Programmer

Location: Goldsboro, NC

Pay: Up to $95,000/year (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Full-time 1st Shift

Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Programmer to join our growing engineering team in Goldsboro, NC. This role supports mechanical design automation by integrating computer-aided design (CAD) expertise with programming to streamline production processes. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, tech-savvy, and eager to work hands-on with real-world engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, automate, and support CAD workflows for transformer production

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement design practices

Create and maintain standardized design procedures and incorporate them into software

Participate in ongoing product design, revision, and optimization

Assist with planning and outlining technical automation projects

Support integration between engineering and IT systems

Analyze, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and usability

Support translation and integration of files from different CAD platforms

Contribute to continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives Skills & Qualifications

Required:

Associate degree in Mechanical Design or related field

Programming experience or strong interest in automation technologies

Solid understanding of mechanical systems and design principles

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team

Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and data management tools (XML, databases) Preferred:

Experience with CAD software (especially CREO)

Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
