JOB SUMMARY: The Staff Speech & Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients referred to the Rehabilitation Department. This practitioner is responsible for adhering to the mission and values of Putnam Hospital Center while interacting with people of all ages.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of a professional Speech & Language Pathology curriculum accredited by the American Speech & Hearing Association.
Licensure/Registration/Certification: Licensed and currently Registered in the State of New York.
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience for Outpatient and Inpatient Departments; new graduates with relevant clinical affiliations will be considered.
Physical & Other Factors: Sufficient strength, endurance and flexibility to complete daily assignments. Exhibits ability and desire to supervise and delegate to other staff members.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Some occupational risk
Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
