Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations, with a particular focus on the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of our new Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of improving warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and safety, while also possessing strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

WMS Implementation & Optimization:

Lead the planning, execution, and post-implementation phases of our new WMS, collaborating closely with IT, operations, and external vendors.

Develop and implement WMS best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs for all warehouse personnel.

Monitor WMS performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize system utilization and data accuracy.

Act as the primary point of contact for WMS-related issues, troubleshooting problems and escalating to appropriate support channels as needed.

Leverage WMS data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in inventory management, order fulfillment, and operational efficiency.

Warehouse Operations Management:

Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, driving continuous improvement in productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring proper operation and scheduling preventative maintenance.

Oversee the timely and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound shipments.

Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy.

Implement and maintain a robust quality control program for incoming and outgoing goods.

Reporting & Analysis:

Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, including KPIs such as order fulfillment rates, shipping accuracy, inventory turns, and labor productivity.

Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement.

Present findings and recommendations to senior management, offering actionable insights to optimize warehouse efficiency and profitability.

Develop and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into key warehouse metrics.

Team Leadership & Development:

Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, supervisors, and leads.

Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.

Develop and implement effective staffing plans to meet operational demands.

Address and resolve employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Basic Qualifications and Preferred Skills and Experience

Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Proven experience in successfully implementing and optimizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is essential. Please highlight your specific WMS experience in your application.

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, best practices, and industry standards.

Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Proficiency in using WMS software and other relevant warehouse technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.

Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. (Adjust if not applicable)

Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, order picker).

Valid forklift operator certification(s) is required.

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience with specific WMS platforms (e.g., Oracle NetSuite)

Additional certifications in warehouse safety (e.g., OSHA 10/30).

Salary: Starting at $60,000.00 per year

Salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
