POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for assisting in the implementation of Kemba Credit Union's business development to attract, expand, and retain credit union membership via Select Employer Groups (SEGs). This is accomplished by finding new business (SEGs) within the local communities. This may be achieved by "cold calls" or networking opportunities. Group presentations and new member signups are essential. Responsible for maintaining existing SEG relationships, and enhancing the image of Kemba Credit Union in both business and local communities. Active in the community via chamber activities and other community events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Performs activities to attract, expand, and retain Kemba Credit Union's membership via Select Employer Groups (SEGs).

Represents Kemba Credit Union at conventions, business fairs, and actively sells products and services.

Responds to internet requests for membership, follows up with non-responders, tracks and reports new membership successes.

Participates in the Community Outreach Program; Helps selects organizations, arranges support programs, and completes related marketing activities.

Ensures that marketing activities create positive/prospective member and community responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

A minimum of one of the following: (1) A two-year college degree, (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of financial services products preferred.

Experience Required:

One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Previous experience in financial sales and services preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

Strong interpersonal, presentation, and public relations skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Attentive to detail and excellent problem-solving ability.

Ability to use related computer applications.
