Ethos Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Full-Time or Contractor Counselor/Therapist(LMSW, LPC-A, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) for The Prairie Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Job Description

Positions Available in Houston, TX at TheLovett, located in Montrose

The Lovett Center has openings in our Adult Services Prairie SUD Intensive Outpatient Program, which is a highly regarded psychodynamically-based adult program. Our various IOP cohorts serve professionals, older adults, and young adults. We are looking for a full time therapist and/or a contract therapist to provide our psychodynamic process groups three evening per week. If full time, they will also provide individual therapy services. Contract therapists can provide a variety of services in Prairie IOP: individual therapy, weekly group therapy, family therapy and/or couples counseling. Our full time therapists can also provide a variety of psychotherapeutic treatment modalities. Although psychodynamically-based in orientation, we also synthesize CBT, DBT, Jungian approaches, art therapy, mindfulness, etc. to our sophisticated treatment program. We do offer additional training to those clinicians with some clinical experience.

Clinical Service Delivery

Provide group therapy services for 7-9 hours per week

Must be comfortable facilitating substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment for up to 8 clients at a time

Facilitate Skills and/or Process Groups utilizing various modalities

Must be willing to work 3 nights per week

Provide individual and/or family therapy for IOP participants

Case Management

Verify patient attendance and adherence to program commitments

Assist with monitoring adherence to urinalysis screenings and other accountability measures

Coordinate discharge and post-discharge care and recommendations

Provide formal documentation and letters of support when requested

Assist with patient advocacy and crisis intervention, if needed

Communicate with family members/support system, when appropriate

Documentation

Complete group and individual documentation in a timely fashion via Kipu EMR

Develop treatment plans, then monitor and evaluate treatment progress via treatment plan reviews

Complete thorough utilization review documentation so that our billing team can advocate for insurance coverage of recommended services

Develop thorough discharge plan and post-discharge resources to maximize patient success

Team Collaboration

Communicate clients progress by participating in weekly interdisciplinary staff meetings and evaluations

Communicate time sensitive updates and obstacles to the therapeutic team, when needed

Qualifications for Employment:

Licensed to provide mental health treatment in the state of Texas

Strong clinical background with solid experience in a psychotherapy setting

Job Requirements:

Evening work required on three days for the applicant desiring the process group assignment

If hired, intern or associate-level applicants must procure their own board approved supervisor outside of the agency if they choose not to use our in-house LCSW and LPC supervisors
