Job Summary:
The Supply Analyst is responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying risks, and communicating potential stock issues to key stakeholders. This role ensures marketing and supply chain teams are informed of inventory constraints, enabling proactive decision-making for product promotions, product launches, and ongoing sales. By monitoring stock trends, forecasting demand risks, and providing actionable insights, the analyst helps prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and optimize supply chain efficiency. Strong analytical skills and clear communication are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact between Supply Chain and Sales & Marketing teams to align inventory availability with promotional and product launch plans.
Monitor and analyze finished goods inventory data to identify potential stock shortages, proactively communicating risks and recommending solutions.
Assess and communicate inventory risks related to product promotions, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches to support informed decision-making.
Track and report out-of-stock risks, working with relevant teams to provide timely updates and recommendations for
maintaining website item availability and customer communication.
Develop and maintain inventory tracking reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support market and value chain initiatives.
Facilitate requests from international markets for US products, ensuring alignment with inventory availability and business priorities.
Review item-level forecasts to ensure they are appropriate and recommend changes to demand planning as needed.
Provide insights and recommendations to reduce excess and obsolete inventory while supporting business growth.
May assist with value chain enhancement projects and coordination.
Attend S&OP meetings with each market to communicate supply updates
Attend weekly QA priority meetings to expedite and prioritize low stock and out of stock items through the QA and testing process.
Investigate and report on out of stock and air freight reasons.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally.
Experience with ERP and inventory management systems (JD Edwards preferred).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce environment.
Knowledge of lean inventory practices and supply chain optimization.
Familiarity with forecasting models and demand planning techniques.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.
Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employees manager.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
