Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will perform receiving inspection on incoming materials, as well as in-process and final inspections of Orthofix subassemblies and finished products. You will contribute to the transition from sample inspection to 100% product inspection, assisting with audits, material testing, and documentation submission for FDA compliance.
Responsibilities
Perform receiving inspection on incoming materials based on SOPs and compliance standards.
Conduct in-process and final inspection of subassemblies and finished products according to SOPs and compliance standards.
Read, comprehend, and follow inspection procedures, drawings, sampling plans, and workmanship standards.
Adhere to FDA/ISO requirements, safety, and corporate policies.
Utilize measurement equipment such as calipers, optical comparator, and electronic test equipment.
Maintain Receiving Inspection records and enter data into the computer per FDA standards.
Process nonconforming material placed on Discrepancy Reports.
Write general inspection procedures, ECOs, and DRs.
Generate reports showing inventory status and reconcile any discrepancies.
Accurately perform Oracle transactions to accept product, deliver product, generate BOMs, etc.
Provide significant input to the supervisor on potential job improvements.
Answer questions and resolve minor job activity-related problems in the absence of the supervisor.
Ensure regular attendance.Essential Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control.
History of providing process and product improvement suggestions.
Technical ability to perform all jobs in Quality Control.
Strong people skills to assist in training inspectors.
Ability to prioritize inspection activities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
ASQ Inspection Certification or equivalent.
Degree or Certification in a technical field.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a clean and climate-controlled environment, which includes a lab and machining area. The work shift is Monday through Friday, offering flexibility to work any time between 6 AM and 6 PM, with a minimum requirement of 40 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LEWISVILLE, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.50/hr.
