Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Crane Operator to join our hardworking team. In this role, you will demonstrate your experience and expertise alongside others who take the profession seriously and are committed to a safe work environment. You will ensure that all loads and equipment are lifted and set properly and demonstrate consistent commitment to safety at all times. You will work as part of the team, ensuring our operation runs smoothly and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Operate overhead 5-ton crane to load trucks with large industrial electrical control panels for customers.
Ensure all machinery is set, aligned, and leveled.
Attach and detach loads properly, including rigging them and calculating weight loads.
Communicate effectively with all team members while performing duties.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Monitor, inspect, and maintain all rigging equipment to ensure safety and good working condition, completing safety inspections and documentation routinely.
Report all safety concerns and issues to management immediately.
Safely and properly attach and utilize all pulley and block systems.
Set up and break down necessary equipment.
Properly select gear for the job.
Maintain control of all loads at all times.
Maneuver loads through difficult and confined spaces, including onto shipping transport trucks.Essential Skills
3+ years minimum experience with Crane Operations and rigging.
Familiarity with all necessary safety equipment.
Experience with crane assembly and disassembly.
Solid math skills for calculating load requirements.
Physically capable of working in demanding conditions.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Excellent vision and hearing.
Comfortable working at heights or climbing ladders, being on boom lift as needed (6 feet maximum).Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
Work the 2nd shift, which includes a shift differential, with hours between 2 PM and 6 AM. Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 4:30 PM to 2:00 AM and Saturdays. Overtime is available, but never more than 58 hours per week, with double time for Sundays when permanent. Work in an extremely clean, temperature-controlled environment with 25 electrical assembly bays and a growing department of 200 employees. The crane location is near the dock doors, with loading inside the plant. Safety is a top priority. Dress code includes no leggings, cut-off shirts, midriffs showing, or pants with holes, rips, or tears. Composite or steel-toe shoes with rubber soles are required, and a safety vest is provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.80 - $31.80/hr.
