Reporting to the Supervisor AML Compliance, the Analyst AML Compliance will assist in ensuring the Palms Resort & Casino is compliant with the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act as they pertain to Casinos. The Analyst AML Compliance will be responsible for reviewing system generated alerts to provide a comprehensive analysis of reviewed activity. Additionally, the Analyst AML Compliance performs required KYC and enhanced due diligence investigations for the company.

Core Responsibilities:

Performs complex technical, analytical, and detail-oriented work relating to records of gaming operations to independently assess whether activity meets regulatory and internal policy criteria for possible Suspicious Activity Reporting to regulatory agency.

Exercises judgment based on prior experience, training, and education. Gathers, interprets, and analyzes information from multiple systems, including but not limited to; Synkros, jackpot reporting systems, credit card advances, check cashing systems, electronic Multiple Transaction Logs, Monetary Instrument Log,

Performs research using proprietary commercial databases (Clear) and open source (internet) and social media sites to obtain information relevant to a patron’s identification, occupation, residency, and pertinent flagged information found.

Prepare comprehensive investigative summaries and compose Suspicious Activity reports for Compliance Management.

Assist in development of standard auditing desk procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Economic, Business Administration, or related field required.

Minimum of two years’ experience in AML or Suspicious Activity Reporting.

Previous experience in a casino, bank, or financial institution.

Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board Gaming License.

Analytical skillset, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Advanced knowledge and familiarity with Excel.

The ability to adapt to changing priorities, thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office setting.

Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

May be exposed to smoke.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Constant contact with executives, department management, team members, and guests.

Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.

Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Eye/hand coordination.

Use of standard office equipment.

Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

Work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. when needed.
