This is a 20 hour a week position.
Position Summary:
The Data Analyst is responsible for creating processes and producing data for the generation of periodic and re-occurring clinical reports, and translating end-user clinical data requests into reports. Systematically identifies and defines problems, evaluates alternatives, and implements effective solutions related to new and existing reports. Troubleshoots and resolves end-user issues with reports and applications. Responsible for all data mapping of all systems as related to reporting requirements, as well as quality and population health initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop ad hoc and scheduled query-based reporting for Clinical Services, and interprets end-user requirements
Leads the evaluation of analytical tools used for the Clinical Team
Leads the management and maintenance of analytics tool(s) used for the Clinical Team
Maintains and monitors measures to ensure data integrity
Creates dashboards and reports to support the Clinical Team
Develops reporting, storage procedures, and process documents
Uses analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
Participates in system upgrades; evaluates and re-engineers reports as needed
Submits required data and reports on time, meeting the Clinical Team’s requests
Uses advanced knowledge of MS applications and smartsheet to efficiently work data and reports, including MS excel skills using pivot tables and linking data
Manages multiple priorities and demonstrates flexibility with priorities and requests
Performs and validates data mapping of all systems as related to reporting requirements
Participates in vendor or internal training on computer system or enhancements
Maintains and develops new skills through participation in internal or external continuing education programs
Assistance in the establishment and development of Clinical Team’s goals
Defines end-user requirements; facilitates appropriate data and solutions for the end-user needs
Attends clinical, quality, population health, operational, finance, and HIT meetings as needed to assist with defining user or organizational requirements
Support Quality and Population Health Teams
Assistance in short-term and long-term planning that meets the goals of the Quality and Population Health Teams
Serves as EHB Submitter/UDS Project Coordinator and UDS Clinical Data Owner
Based on the different programs (e.g., Medicare ACO, Medicaid ACO, etc.), determines reports that would be beneficial for the management of each patient population
Leads trainings on analytics tools for end-users, provides mentorship and guidance to the Quality and Population Health Team members as it pertains to data analytics
Supports regulatory reviews and audits
Performs other duties as assigned
Education And Experience
Associates degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred. Three years experience working with EHR and report creation required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including using pivot tables and linking data. Experience with report generation with report writing tools required. Healthcare reporting experience with UDS and Patient Center Medical Home strongly preferred. Experience working with Crystal Reports, SQL, DRVS, I2I, Cogito, PowerBi, and EPIC preferred.
