Anticipated .6 EL (ML) Teacher

Winchester Public Schools is seeking a certified EL (ML) Teacher. The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and families

The ability to collect and interpret data for instructional purposes

Excellent organizational skills

The ability to meet deadlines

Develop and implement English language development lesson plans aligned to student proficiency levels

Participate in professional development trainings and program development projects

Work closely with classroom teachers to design curriculum and lessons

Preference to candidates with graduate work in the field of ESL or Applied Linguistics

Experience working with diverse cultural and linguistic populations

Experience in various English Language service models

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate Degree in ESL, Applied Linguistics, or Language Literacy, and Culture

Knowledge of additional language other than English

Familiarity with WIDA standards, ACCESS administration and/or familiarity with ACCESS data assessments

Familiarity and/or experience working with a wide range of grade level students at different English proficiency levels

Additional Requirements:

Massachusetts License in English as a Second Language (ESL)
