JOB TITLE: TRANSPORTATION OFFICE MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION NARRATIVE:
Manage the transportation and grounds office in an organized and efficient manner. Work in conjunction with the Director of Transportation to ensure the transportation department and grounds are safe, clean and in proper condition so complete educational use may be made at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge:
High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer some type of higher learning or trade school training.
Skills:
Must have a working knowledge of computers (word processing, data base, and spreadsheets). Able to work efficiently with Assistant Director of Transportation, bus drivers, mechanics, patrons, and vendors. A C.D.L. drivers license, class B with P & S endorsement and State of Oklahoma school bus drivers’ certificate is required.
Machines/Equipment:
Computer, printer, typewriter, adding machines, copy machines, telephones.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary:
Maintain records and prepare reports of fuel consumption required by the district.
Maintain repair records and warranties on each vehicle.
Prepare monthly reports to be presented to the Board of Education.
Provide information to the treasurer (van mileage reports, invoices, backorders, etc...)
Schedule use of school vehicles (buses, vans & cars)
Prepare transportation/bus drivers employee timecards/timesheets to be sent to the board clerk.
Secondary:
Type and prepare correspondence for the Assistant Director of Transportation.
Dispatch all P.M. buses and drivers, and use two-way radio as required.
Maintain records and warranties on all grounds equipment.
Answer telephone, copy, assist visitors, and various office tasks
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Days: 233 - 8 hrs/day
+ 12 paid holidays

SALARY/BENEFITS

Fringes: per negotiated agreement
Vacation: 10 days/yr after one year
