Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert in Surface Warfare operations, leveraging 8+ years of experience as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer
Provide expertise in Combat Systems operations, components, and associated instructions to enhance training and operational readiness
Analyze and address Command and Control issues related to surveillance, engagement, and planning functions across numbered fleets
Develop and implement operational strategies in collaboration with staff and fleet units to ensure mission success
Facilitate advanced tactical training for Surface Warfare personnel, with a focus on amphibious warfare (AMW), anti-submarine warfare (ASW), or surface warfare (SUW) operations
Apply knowledge of Fleet operations and planning procedures to support readiness assessments and operational planning efforts
Utilize WTI (AMW or ASW/SUW) qualifications, if applicable, to provide specialized training and guidance; aviation qualifications are also considered valuable
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance naval doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures
Qualifications
Possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and TS//SCI eligible.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
Bachelors Degree
A minimum of 12 years of military experience, and/or relevant industry and/or government experience with the surface navy’s combat systems, C5I, networks, and weapons systems.
A minimum of 5 years of the experience must be military Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Command, Systems Testing Command or similar military organization planning Experience.
Five (5) years of experience aboard Navy cruisers, destroyers or within qualified Department of Defense warfare areas.
Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC), Battle Watch Captain). Possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations.
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Access, Excel, Power Point, Project and Word).
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $129,800.00/Yr. - USD $216,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
