Position Criteria:
We are seeking qualified and experienced Motor Mechanics with a minimum of three years post-trade experience. In this role, you will:
-Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to assess mechanical issues across a range of vehicles.
-Perform key repairs and maintenance, including engine overhauls, brake servicing, and electrical troubleshooting.
-Utilise diagnostic tools to identify complex problems and provide effective solutions.
-Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to ensure high-quality service delivery.
-Maintain detailed records of service and repair activities.
-Keep up to date with developments in automotive technology.
-Clearly explain repair processes to customers, offering exceptional service
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment.
-Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
-Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
-Support and mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
-Assist manufacturers in resolving specific technical issues where required.
-Coordinate with service advisors and the parts department to support efficient operations.
Requirements:
-Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
-Experience with any of the listed vehicle brands is advantageous but not essential.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
-A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
-Workshop experience with diagnosing engine and electrical faults is preferred but not required
